Mizuumi Anime Club at Our Lady of the Lake University is a Recognized Student Organization now in its 6th year of existence. The club’s mission statement is “to promote a better understanding of the Japanese culture through various styles of media, art, and technology” and our statement of purpose is “to enrich the academic environment by stimulating the growth and appreciation of anime and manga as an art form as well as the awareness and understanding of the Japanese Culture, both pop and historical.”
The club meets most Friday evenings at 5:30pm, and guests are welcome to attend. The club has two staff advisors and four elected officer positions including President, Vice-president, Secretary, and Treasurer. Elections are held in late April or May for the next school year, and running for office is open to currently enrolled OLLU students who also meet additional requirements set by the Campus Activities office RSO policies.
