Area Anime Conventions, INC.
Mizuumi-Con is brought to you by Area Anime Conventions Inc. (AAC).
Area Anime Conventions Inc. is a not-for-profit charitable and educational organization whose main mission is for the promotion, as well as education, of Japanese arts and Japanese popular culture through the use of traditional and contemporary media; with special consideration on running events which are both physically and fiscally accessible to special populations within San Antonio and the Bexar county area.
We are a certified by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) organization, and welcome all donations to further our cause!
For a decade, the MizuumiCon staff has been run by a group of dedicated volunteers who have a passion for bringing anime and Japanese culture to the San Antonio community.
MizuumiCon was initially held at Our Lady of the Lake University, where the convention was run by the student-led Mizuumi Anime Club. It was after MizuumiCon 9, that the staff decided that the convention had outgrown the OLLU campus. Despite moving from the OLLU campus, the MizuumiCon board of directors still hold the Sisters of Divine Providence close to their hearts. If you would like to find out more information and support them, you can do so here.
MizuumiCon 10 marked the first year that the convention was held outside of the OLLU campus at their new home, the newly renovated San Antonio Northwest Marriott.
The staff members of MizuumiCon would like to thank you for continuing to be a part of their family. See you soon!
